In the starless sky The moon eclipsed into dark Then the bus arrived
One night, while waiting for the bus, a lady called out to me, "Hey, look!" I glanced up, and the moon was disappearing into darkness. I was witnessing my first eclipse. As it began to re-emerge, the bus arrived. The lady and I boarded. I wished I could have stayed longer to watch the moon’s rebirth, but I needed to catch that bus home. This haiku is about that fleeting moment of wonder.
