I think you're right. I definitely wasn't ready a few years ago. I was way to busy being a knucklehead.

Art has a way of creeping in like a draft.

Thank you for the kind words. Your description of flipping a switch is spot on: sometimes you don't know where that light comes from, and you certainly have lit up the world with your writing. I'm proud to have assisted you in any way.

I think some of things take a while -- take a while for us to give ourselves permission. To many who knew me before two years ago, they might be surprised I call myself a poet now. But honestly, I don't think I would have been ready for it when I was younger.

Others are surprised that I'm now doing something "creative." But honestly, I thought I was pretty creative in engineering. And from what I can tell here, the same people that fawn over a color choice in a painting or a word choice in a poem don't realize just how much art there is in a well designed printed circuit board for example.

The important thing is to learn, as you did, that when these changes want to happen, to let the switch change and not resist it.

I'm enjoying your writing, here's to 2026!

In short, for me ive been dealing with creativity issues, so I really feel you in dealing with your creativity issues. Good luck with everything this New Year and everything going forward.

Thank you IWonder!

I wish I knew the cause of the change, and why it took until I was 35 for it to happen.

Best of luck to you as well.
